1. What Nondum is

Nondum is a service to seal a message so that nobody can read it before a date you choose (at least one year ahead). The content is encrypted in your browser with a technique called time-lock encryption, based on the public drand network. Nondum never sees the plaintext and holds no key that could open it early.

2. What we guarantee, and what we do not

• Nobody can open the capsule before the date, not even Nondum: this is a mathematical property of the encryption, not a commercial promise.
• Opening depends on the drand network, a public service run by an independent consortium (the League of Entropy) that Nondum does not control. If drand ceased to exist or changed network before the opening date, the content could become unrecoverable for good. We cannot rule this out and we are not liable for it.
• The encrypted content is stored on our systems and, when the archive is active, on Arweave, a permanent storage network independent of Nondum. We give you a downloadable "opening kit": keep it, because with it the capsule opens even if Nondum no longer exists.
• The seal is irreversible. Once sealed, a capsule cannot be edited, brought forward or opened on request, not by you, not by order of an authority: we have no technical means to do so.
• We do not guarantee durations measured in decades: we guarantee that the service is designed so the content stays recoverable without us, not that Nondum will exist on the opening date.

3. Price and right of withdrawal

The price is shown before payment, VAT included. The service is performed in full and immediately at sealing (encryption, registration, archive): by sealing, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal provided for digital content (art. 59(o) of the Italian Consumer Code, implementing Directive 2011/83/EU). If registration fails through our fault, we refund the full amount.

4. What you may seal

You must be at least 18. You are solely responsible for the content: it must not break the law or the rights of others (including people shown in photos without their consent) nor contain unlawful material. Nondum cannot read the content and therefore does not moderate it, but may remove the title, the preview and the encrypted files from the public feed, from the NFT metadata and from its own systems on a substantiated report or an order of an authority; what is already written on Solana or Arweave cannot be deleted by anyone.

5. Public proof, NFT and tokens

For every capsule we record on Solana a fingerprint (hash) of the content and the opening date, and we mint an NFT representing the capsule. The title you choose is public and immutable: do not put personal data in it. The NFT is a receipt, not an investment: it has no guaranteed value and gives no rights over Nondum. Nondum is paid in euros; no token is needed to use the service.
